I'm not sure if this is the right place for this type of post - admins please remove.

$700 Oak wood Sale, Fair Oaks, CA

I saw this posting on FB marketplace today, and thought it might interest someone on here - It looks like an entire Oak tree was cut down and sliced into rounds, and the tree appears to have been quite old. all of the wood looks perfect for cutting up into bowl blanks, although some of them are pretty short. I reached out to the seller - the tree was taken down because it was in the way / growing over the house.

I'd jump on it, but it's too much wood for me to handle all at once. No relation to the seller, just don't want to see good wood go to the chipper.

Thanks for the heads up Josh but it's probably not worth the gas to go get it let alone the price.  Most Oak is not great for bowls unless it's quarter sawn.

On the positive side, there is plenty of good free wood around, check Craigslist as well as the woodpiles identified in the "Members" section of the website.
